How to hold the power of light in a dark time in my binational bicultural region?

For the past 20 years I’ve been photographing moments in my beloved frontera as

they fade away. Beyond the politics, strong woman figure,

activist, the rituals that Fronterizos still embrace-I try not to

force the gentlest moment of an image. As I look back at my work,

I have come to understand that to stay grounded and out of this

darkness we must remain in search of the light.
